We painted walls, trim, ceilings, doors and closet shelves for a property manager in Lexington KY, after a resident who was a heavy-smoker moved out. We updated the colors with a light gray, and painted all the white trim a clean white.
Smoke stains on walls, whether from cigarettes, should not just be covered with paint alone. The tar and chemicals in Nicotine from cigarette smoke penetrate drywall and bleed through paint no matter how many coats are applied.
