Our customer bought the house but they didn’t like the old, faded and burned stain of main entry door and they had imagined a new look on the door to make it stand out while providing a contrast to the neutral colored brick walls.
We explained that before we could only apply new stain, once we did a full stain removal by sanding it down to the bare wood. After which, we applied two coats of new stain and then two coats of polyurethane. It’s important to note that we used a type of polyurethane that has UV ray protection as well as weather resistance. That way the new, and much improved appearance of the door will last longer. The polyurethane we choose provides superior resistance to moisture and harmful UV rays for exterior wood finishes.
