Downtown Lexington Home Exterior Paint Project: We completed the project on an older home, built in 1909, with good bones. It’s exterior was last painted in 1990, so in desperate need of an exterior repair and painting, as the paint was flaking and peeling, there was exposed rotten wood, the trim, soffits and shaker siding were in ill repair.
We began by repairing and replacing the rotten wood, removing the old paint and smoothing the surface to prepare for the new paint color. It took a full coat of primer and two coats of paint. The transformation was incredible, bringing life to this early 1900’s home.
